The Delivery Email: What It Contains, Where It Hides

The first thing in the email, above the order lines, is a black block. It names what it opens, the hints and the solution for a case file, the host's guide and the solution for a kit, and it carries the code in large monospaced letters: BW, four characters, three characters. Under it, the link to the case file portal. Under that, one line: the code is yours, it waits as long as needed, and the week of play starts at the first opening, not today. The block is first on purpose. In three weeks, when you open the email again, the code is the only thing you will need.

The PDF. The file is downloaded from the portal after the code is entered, because a 50-page picture dossier is too heavy to be a reliable attachment and because a file that travels by email cannot be tied to a week of use. The solution is not in the email either, nor the hints, nor the host's guide: all of that is on the portal, behind the code. So an email with no attachment is not a broken delivery. It is the delivery.

Flag it. Copy the code into your phone's notes. Do not enter it on the portal until you are ready to download and print, since that first entry starts the week. Then download the PDF, keep the file, and print according to the how-to page inside it. The email is also your invoice: the order lines, the amount and the date sit under the block.
