Terms of Sale

Last updated: September 11, 2026

These Terms of Sale govern every purchase made on murdertoorder.com. By placing an order you agree to them. Please read them before you buy.

1. Who we are

Murder to Order is operated by Dounia Mehenni, Entreprise individuelle (sole proprietorship, France), SIREN 920 594 314, 61 rue de Lyon, 75011 Paris, France. Contact: hello@murdertoorder.com.

2. What we sell

We sell digital products only: printable murder mystery party kits and detective case files delivered as PDF files. Nothing is shipped. Product pages describe each scenario, the number of players it supports, its approximate duration and its content.

Kits are sold by group size (6 to 8, 9 to 10, or 11 to 12 players). The PDF you receive is prepared for the group size you selected. Detective case files are sold at a single price for 2 to 6 players.

3. Prices and taxes

Prices are displayed in US dollars. Prices may change at any time; the price charged is the one displayed when you place your order.

We are established in France and do not currently collect US sales tax. Depending on your state, you may be responsible for reporting use tax on digital purchases. If we become required to collect sales tax in your state, it will be added at checkout.

For customers in the European Union, prices are inclusive of any applicable VAT under the rules that apply to us.

4. Ordering and payment

Orders are placed through our secure checkout operated by Stripe. Payment methods offered are those shown at checkout (cards and other methods enabled by Stripe). We never see or store your card details.

Your order is confirmed once payment is accepted. You then receive a confirmation email with your PDF attached and a receipt.

5. Delivery

Your files are generated and emailed to the address you provided at checkout, normally within a few minutes of payment. Please check your spam folder if you cannot find the email. If you have not received your file within one hour, or if you entered the wrong email address, write to us and we will resend it free of charge.

6. Refunds and cancellation

Because our products are digital files delivered immediately, all sales are final once the PDF has been sent. We do not offer refunds for change of mind, for buying the wrong group size, or because a party did not take place.

If your file is defective (corrupted, incomplete, or not matching its description), tell us within 14 days at the address below. We will send you a corrected file or, if we cannot, refund your purchase in full.

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal on distance purchases. For digital content, this right ends once delivery has started with your express consent and acknowledgment, which you give when you place your order. Our Refund and Cancellation Policy has the details.

Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under mandatory consumer protection laws of your state or country.

7. License and permitted use

When you buy a kit, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download, print and use it for your own private, non-commercial games, as many times as you like, for as many private parties as you like.

You may not share, resell, publish, redistribute or upload the files, in whole or in part, nor use them for paid events, commercial hosting or public performances without our prior written permission. Commercial licenses are available on request.

8. Our responsibility

We take care to produce accurate, tested scenarios, but we cannot promise that a game will suit every group or that every participant will enjoy it. Our kits are entertainment products for adults and, where stated, for teenagers under adult supervision.

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for that purchase. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

9. Personal data

We process your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law, without depriving you of the protection granted by mandatory consumer laws of your place of residence. If something goes wrong, please contact us first: we resolve almost every issue by email within a few days.
